Welcome!
Dreamwell is excited to welcome new Ohio telehealth clients!
Change begins with a single decision: making the choice to move beyond patterns that no longer serve you.
Chronic insomnia, anxiety, and stress are deeply connected. When sleep is disrupted, everything else suffers. Dreamwell specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for chronic insomnia, as well as therapy for anxiety and stress-related concerns. My work focuses on helping adults break the cycle of racing thoughts, restless nights, and daytime exhaustion using structured, skills-based treatment that leads to lasting improvement.
Together, we’ll explore ways to help you understand yourself more deeply, break old patterns, and move toward a future that feels hopeful, grounded, and truly yours.
About Dr. Summerville
Shapree Summerville, PhD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I am a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology. I completed my pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where I had the privilege of working with Veterans from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. During that time, I gained specialized training in faith and recovery, mindfulness-based approaches, and organizational health through the National Center for Organizational Development (NCOD). These experiences shaped my approach to therapy, helping me support clients in building hope, strength, and meaningful change in their lives. My passion lies in helping individuals explore their inner worlds through one-on-one therapy that encourages the presence of the authentic self. I believe that the therapeutic process is most effective when clients are in the driver's seat of their journey, with me alongside as a guide to help navigate toward healing and personal growth.
My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based treatments, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). For those struggling with sleep difficulties, I have received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), a highly effective, short-term treatment for improving sleep.
I bring a deep appreciation for how spirituality and religion can be integrated into therapy when relevant, honoring these aspects as meaningful parts of our lived human experience. Additionally, I am sensitive to the complex realities of racial identity, cultural stress, and the societal invalidation that often accompanies these experiences. I strive to create a space where these realities are acknowledged, respected, and explored with care.
I recognize that seeking therapy can be a deeply personal and sometimes difficult decision, especially for those whose cultural or community backgrounds carry stigma around mental health. I aim to break down those barriers by offering a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to meet you with compassion and respect, helping you reclaim your story and begin a meaningful journey toward self-discovery, empowerment, and healing.
I look forward to accompanying you as you progress towards the life you want to live.
I support adults navigating:
Struggling with chronic sleep difficulties, including insomnia driven by anxiety or stress
Carrying heavy personal or professional demands that leave little room to rest or reset
Experiencing anxiety, racing thoughts, or persistent mental overload
Adjusting to life transitions or prolonged stress that disrupt balance and well-being
Feeling burned out or depleted, with limited capacity for self-care despite strong functioning
Dreamwell is dedicated to supporting adults seeking relief from insomnia, stress, anxiety, and life transitions.
